Horseshoe Belt - 10/11 Oz Golden Tan Double Butt

As the name implies, the buckle of this particular belt was inspired by a horseshoe. Horseshoe is an ancient talisman renowned for bringing good luck and prosperity. The horseshoe is probably the most commonly recognised good luck symbol in the Western world. The combination of luck, protection, and magic that is captivated by the horseshoe symbol means that many people believe it will bring ’em good fortune and help to ward off evil.

The shape of this Horseshoe buckle was self designed and developed by us. We tweaked its form in a way that it’s capable of being a fully functional kind of belt buckle without losing its original and particular shape. The buckle itself was made of solid brass. Brush-finished so it kept its favorable matte look.

The veg-tanned leather originates from South America. Vegetable tanning uses tannins from plants to create an authentic leather with a natural smell and look. Vegetable-tanned leather has a distinctive look and feel that develops a beautiful patina over time; giving it a true character and charm. Something that gets better with age. It goes without saying that it’ll go along extremely well with the nature of our beloved dry denim.

We utilized a high quality double butt cow hide for the base material. The double butt cut of a leather hide is from the hind leg portion of the hide, running around the butt and up towards the spine, on both sides of the hide. This is the thickest and firmest area of the hide. Extremely suitable for our heavy-duty belting material. We use the full hide thickness measured around 10/11 oz in average. It’s then finished with our kind of signature golden-tan color.
