One of our oldest denim jacket patterns, dated back from 2016. As it was the 2nd issue of our denim jacket pattern archive, we simply called it the Work Jacket Type II. Compared to other denim jacket patterns in our range, this piece has the most ‘modern’ approach to it; in terms of how we designed the outer appearance and the kind of fit we utilized.
The fundamental part of this Work Jacket Type II build is no other than the double spacious side pockets on its chest. Yes, it’s a fully functional pocket that goes from chest to edge of waist-band! Aside from keeping your valuable belonging(s) safe, it also functionates as an extra layer to the front part of the jacket. So, it’ll keep you safe & warm at the same time!
Another particular and fully-functioning detail is the shoulder-gusset. Providing an extra room in the shoulder for you with a broader shoulder or simply for better mobility. Other worth mentioning details are the 2 other front pockets (yes, there are 4 front pockets in total!), the double pleated jacket’s pleat, and the cinch-backed waist.
This jacket version was made using our exclusively-loomed 18 oz. / sq. yd Over-Slub Selvedge denim. One of our celebrated signature denim fabrics. Its extra-thick slub short-staple yarns made all the difference. The cotton itself originated from the USA, specially spun in Japan, and then shuttle-loomed in Thailand. Yes, it’s a special fabric for a reason.
We decided to do the one-washed finish for this jacket; considering the denim weight and how we put the double-layered front body parts. One-washed denim jacket so that you can directly get the pleasant initial wear experience without ever loosing its ability to fade n’ evolve. All of those finished with our signature trims, the custom developed Scovill USA hardware sets. Namely the Burnt-copper open top buttons and the 100% copper rivets.
