The first ever jeans with studded leather patch detail? I honestly don’t know, and I really couldn’t care less. We just love to get creative and tend to leave a personal touch on every denim we’ve ever designed and executed. Being this small scale sometimes gives us this kind of advantage where we’re still able to leave our personal touch and mark.
This Black Stallion was made from black warp X black weft heavy ounces denim. Heavy-weight milled-in-Japan denim with an approximate weight 23.7 oz. after shrunk. This ultra-black denim is still on the pristine unsanforized condition. The denim constructed with just-the-right amount of slub yarns and trimmed with light red / pink selvedge ID. The black denim tone was resulted from sulphur dyed yarns. That kind of technique will generate a particular fade-to-grey denim direction after significant wears.
The Black Stallion was built with our timeless 8.25” slim straight cut. Trimmed with our customized button sets from Scovill Fastener. Reinforced with 100% copper rivets also from the same company. The copper color on the buttons and rivets complements the all-black themed (from the denim base to the thread construction) pretty well.
The one that’ll serve as a head-turnin’ element is surely no other than its striking studded leather patch. It was done manually by hand, one by one, spot per spot. So if you’re expecting a flawless and spot-on kind of attachment, this one is not for ya. The studs and nail-heads are exceptionally made in the USA. The leather material itself was sourced from the infamous Horween, Illinois Chicago. The one we use here is their legendary Black Chromexcel leather.
