14 years. That’s 168 months of fades, failures, and fine-tuned fits. And we’ve never strayed from the trail. In the old West, where superstitions rode side by side with grit, numbers often held subtle meaning. In cowboy culture, age 14 often marked a rite of passage.
It’s when young ranch hands were expected to pull their weight; ride their own horse, break their own boots, and earn their keep. In many ways, 14 was when a boy started to become a man. 14 stood as the number that pushed past fear, stepped into promise, and carried the journey forward.
This is our #14THFANDANGO!
THE FABRIC
In the Old West, a man and his horse were bonded by dust, sweat, and trust. One glance, one nudge, and they moved as one. If we had to name our denim steed for this 14th ride around the sun — it’d be Thunderhoof.
Now, that name might sound like a tall tale. But around here, we know better. We know when a denim’s got character, and this one’s got it in spades. Woven by the masters at Kaihara Mills, it comes in raw and rough, clocking in at a whopping 19 oz. It’s selvedge, unsanforized and loom-state.
When we first ran our hands over it, we felt the slub — like canyon ridges baked in summer heat. Jagged. Uneven. Alive. But like any good trail companion, you grow into it. And it grows around you.
THE DETAILS
The details? You bet we went all in. Custom Scovill hardware — solid brass buttons, copper rivets, and a burnt-copper finish that looks like it’s been through a few bar brawls.
Inside, you’ll find a special Navajo-inspired fabric lining the pockets — a quiet nod to the stories and traditions that inspired this whole collection. And the patch? That’s 7-9 oz of natural veg-tanned cowhide, branded with our 14th Fandango stamp. It’ll darken and age like an old cowboy’s notebook — rough, tanned, and full of tales.
We finished it with our signature triple-loop stitch on the coin pocket, raised belt loops, and raised back pockets. You know it. This thing’s built like a damn fort!
THE FIT
We’ve stayed true to our most trusted silhouette — the 8.25″ Cut. A slim-straight profile that’s been with us since the beginning. It strikes that sweet spot between classic and modern — tailored without being tight, roomy without feeling loose.
It starts quite slim in its thigh area, hugging a little closer than a regular straight cut will be. And it will be straight down from the knee, calves to the hem with basically no taper. Another key note of this cut is in its medium rise built. So it will give you a roomier and fuller kind of top block.
A cut that is our most versatile (and most-experienced) cut that’s able to fit various kinds of body type.
