14 years. That’s 168 months of kicks, creases, and good ol’ fashioned denim dogfights. And still, we ride.

Way out West, folks say every number’s got its own spirit. Fourteen? That one meant you were ready. Old enough to break a wild horse. Grown enough to swing a pickaxe and earn your plate of beans.

This here is our #14THFANDANGO and we ain’t just lookin’ back. We’re building forward, with a pair that honors the roots. Meet the ’37 Cut – 12 Oz Staple Selvedge Okayama!

THE FABRIC

If Thunderhoof was the wild stallion of this collection, the Staple Selvedge is the old dependable mule. Steady, sturdy, and wise as hell.

Our 12 oz Staple Selvedge hails from the denim holy land, Okayama, Japan. This denim fabric resembles a similar trait and characteristic (read: construction) of a denim fabric that’s made in the golden era of 1930-1940’s.

The result is a hairy texture and a feel that’s as authentic as it gets. Coming in loom-state unsanforized, it’s a fabric that demands to be broken in, a piece of your life ready to be worn and faded. And that indigo hue, it’s faithful blue that pays homage to the denim of a bygone era.

THE DETAILS

A nod to the year when jeans weren’t for show, they were function. When details weren’t extras, they were essentials. A pair built with the same care and cuts of the pre-War era. Full seat. Wide leg. Cinch back and all. No fluff, no flair.

We’ve outfitted these dungarees with all the trappings of a true 1937 classic. You’ve got the unmistakable cinch back, the crotch rivet that’s been a staple since the beginning, and the newly added hidden rivets that were a mark of progress back in the day. It’s the last stand for the cinch back before it was laid to rest.

Each solid brass button and pure copper rivet is sourced from Scovill Fasteners, a name that’s been in the game since 1802. Tough as nails and built to age with character, they’re the kind of details that’ll last a lifetime. The cinch back hardware? That’s from YKK Japan, known for their renowned quality.

And of course, the special 14th Fandango mark is branded onto a pull-up cowhide hot-branded patch, ready to soak up every story you throw at it.

THE FIT

This is the ’37 Cut, a silhouette that ain’t for the faint of heart. It’s a full cut, a high rise, and a wide leg. A nod to the working man’s dungarees of the 1930s.

The kind of cut that was made for work, for movement, for a life lived without restriction. Giving you all the room you need to move, to ride, to get out there and live.
